Walking in the Spirit | Josh Landen

Josh Landen,

Sermon: Walking in the Spirit
Scripture: Galatians 16-26
Series: Galatians
Teacher: Josh Landen, Men's Ministry

What is the importance of walking by the Spirit to avoid gratifying the desires of the flesh? Men's Pastor Josh Landen explores the contrasts between the works of the flesh, such as immorality and strife, and the fruit of the Spirit, which includes love, joy, and kindness.

Following the flesh leads to destructive behaviors rooted in selfishness while walking in the Spirit leads to love for God and others. The Spirit's transformative power brings positive changes in our lives, which highlights our need to continuously crucify selfish desires and align with God's will.

We cannot overlook the significance of remaining in Christ's love, obeying His commandments, and producing spiritual fruit for God's glory. To abide in Christ and bear the fruits of the Spirit, we must cultivate habits of prayer, scripture reading, and worship. Listeners are encouraged to reflect on their lives, identify areas that need transformation, and allow the Spirit to work in them to produce love, joy, and other virtues.
